These Rules and Regulations may be amended at any regular meeting of the Owner or at any special meeting thereof called for such purpose.
Amendment 1:
Requested Meter Tests: Meter tests requested by water users shall be performed without cost to the water user if the meter is found to be in excess of two (2%) fast. Otherwise, the water user for whom the requested test was made will be charged $30.00 or the actual cost of making the test, if higher.
Amendment 2:
Discontinuance of Water Service: In the event that water service is discontinued and another source of water supply is used for the property, then reconnection shall be made only in the event that the minimum bill for the period of disconnection shall be paid by the water user or owner of the property, the maximum amount being $300.00.
Amendment 3:
Future Connections: "said fee shall in no event be less than four hundred dollars ($400.00) or actual cost, if higher." REVISED FEBRUARY 3, 2010: said fee shall in no event be less than eight hundred dollars ($800.00).
Amendment 4:
Discontinuance of Water Service: In the event that water service is discontinued on a meter for the same person, there will be a $50.00 deposit, $5.00 reconnect fee, and a $50.00 service charge for service restored.
Amendment 5:
In the event that an applicant for water service is other than the landowner, then such applicant shall pay a deposit of $100.00 and a service charge of $5.00.
Amendment 6: OBSOLETE
Remote Meters: The water user may request that a remote meter be installed with the understanding that:
- a remote is a convenience device
- pay a monthly fee of $1.00
- there is no additional charge other than the above should the remote malfunction
- it is the responsibility of the water user to contact the Owner should the remote malfunction
- the water user is responsible for water usage registering on the meter regardless of whether or not such usage registers on the remote
- any water user that is ninety (90) years of age or older will receive a remote (above ground readout) upon request, with monthly fee to be waived
On February 5, 2003 the age was amended to eighty (80).
On August 2, 2006 the age was amended to a case by case basis for customers less than eighty (80) years with health problems or disabilities.
In 2009, all remote meters were removed. The above amendment no longer applies. On February 3, 2010, the amendment was declared obsolete.Amendment 7:
Water User's Bills: In the case of a leak on the customer's side of the meter, the customer may pay said leak at a rate of five percent (5%) of the total bill with a minimum of $25.00 plus the regular monthly bill. In the event the five percent (5%) or $25.00 would cause undue hardship to a customer on limited income, and arrangement may be made to lower the minimum payment due on the leak.
Amendment 8:
General:Any person removing a meter without the Owner's knowledge and consent will be assessed a $100.00 tampering charge plus the cost of materials if any damage is caused to the meter, connections or service pipe.
