Public Water Supply District #1 has completed the process of upgrading our system to Badger radio read meters. This system will allow us to drive by and read each customer's meter every month.
These new meters have the radio in the lids with wires going from the radio to the meter in the pit. It is very important to exercise care when mowing around the meter pit. Do not drive over the lid. If the lid needs to be removed for any reason, please pick up the lid and carefully flip it over. Do not drag the lid off of the pit or damage to the wires could occur. The radios are expensive to replace so care in handling the lid is crucial. If the radios are damaged due to negligence, your account could be charged for the replacement.
